Hello. I am the Director of Music Musings TM and founded our programs 10 years ago. Thank you for taking a bit of time to learn about our philosophy! songs are remembered occasions that celebrate stories of: family, community, nature, science, history and emotional memories as well. It is joyful to create music programs full of artful surprises to celebrate those stories and then, share them with children to help them to learn. Were you surprised to learn how important music can be to a child's learning? That a quality music program supports early language and literacy skills, social, emotiona., physical and creative development? You may have guessed that I have worn a few hats in my professional experiences as musician, art and preschool classroom teacher! Combining those skills, I like to blend these key ingredients to encourage fun and appropriate developmental learning for the whole child: Dedication to children feeling safe, respected and successful while participating at their own comfort level of interaction! A child centered and play based philosophy. Play is how children learn! Acrive listening and observation to recognize how chiodren understand and are relating to the music. that tells me what is important to them and I am guided by their interests!
